The Tabi split toe, a silhouette used by the Maison since its debut collection in 1989, is inspired by the traditional 15th-century Japanese sock. Here, it is presented with Maison Margiela's Bianchetto treatment which resembles a painted-over effect in a ballerina iteration. Further capturing the brand's avant-garde spirit, the design sits atop a block heel.
